With Millie born at the start of June and Bennett starting school at the end of August, I didn't really think too much about what would come between. I mean, I knew I'd be trying to survive life with a newborn and life with three kids and life with the windows open (my sincerest apologies to all our neighbors), but I hadn't really thought about
how I would survive all those things.
Anyway, now that summer is passing me by, I'm realizing just what has kept me sane (or at least not quite as crazy as I'm capable of getting):
1. Doing this

a few times a week, which is really just an excuse to talk to
her,
her,
her and
her while our kids run around the park.
2. Going here

once a week with our season passes.
3. Hanging out here

every Tuesday for Park Day.
4. Recording this

for the boys. Benito can be motivated to do anything for this show.
5. Reading these

early in the morning when Millie first wakes up to eat.
6. Going here (just started)

in the evening to work out, which is really just an excuse to talk to
her.
7. Eating these

and lots of other yummy treats.

Well, you've witnessed the grandness of my own "bad mommy moods"...so I've proved I know exactly what you're talking about.
Reflecting back, I was totally lacking in all the activities (very similar to yours!!) that keep me sane and happy as a mom and person in the week before and during family vacation.
I would only add SLEEP to your list.
I've heard it gets easier...
in fact, some RS sista-friend-mentors declared last night that being in your 40's and 50's is AWESOME.
I guess we'll all have to hold on and enjoy the journey!!
! I'm excited for you (and a little jealous) that you're going to the gym... something I really need to do!!
YAY! I'm SO happy that you have those wonderful things in your life to help keep you sane as you take care of all of the really big blessings (your boys, including Stephen and adorable little Millie)! I'm so happy that you're so smart! Luv U - Mom :)
