SEE JANE RUN HALF-MARATHON

We had perfect race day weather, upper sixties and overcast, and a great course right along the shore of east bay. Pretty crazy running with that many--I think there were over a thousand--people at once... but it thinned out and everyone seemed to settle in to their part of the pack. We had no time goals, just wanted to finish and finish together. Besides our attempted view-of-the-city photo and a few sips of water, we ran the whole race and finished in 2 hours 30 minutes. It was by far my best "long run" of the training, thanks to the great views, different route, race day adrenaline, and the knowledge that Stephen, Liz, and the boys were waiting for me at the finish line. See Jane Run had chocolates, champagne, and silver pendants for all finishers--can you tell this was a women only race?--although truth be told, I was thinking more about In N Out burgers while I ran. That was all the motivation I needed. :)

Dude, you totally rock! I am so inspired! Do you feel amazing? You must be in the best shape now--I bet you could get into that yogi pose my son is so fond of! (P.S. Your comments on my blog make me laugh myself silly).
Yay! Great job with the race! It is inspiring to us all to get back in shape. :) So you going to do another one?
I'm not setting my sights on a marathon but I think I'd like to run (jog) a 5k. You interested in scaling back and doing it with me?
Completely impressed. I want to run 2 miles and I would be feeling pretty good. I need to set my goals a little higher.
Woohoo sis!!! I am SO proud of you for that amazing accomplishment! Thanks for sharing the photos, they are inspiring! NIce buff legs chica!!:)
Sweetie, the photos make it so real! Sorry, I'm so LATE finding them - going to school full-time and doing the family reunion kept me away from the blog site for awhile. U R AWESOME! Mom
